Sharjah24: Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS) concluded on Thursday morning its summer program "Junior Engineer" at its main headquarters in Sharjah. The two-week program's objectives were to educate secondary school pupils to the field of engineering and inspire them to pursue a career in it. Additionally, it attempted to involve them in the Emirate of Sharjah's urban and cultural development.
Five different departments took part in the activities, and each of them planned a full schedule of seminars, hands-on training, and field trips to familiarise participants with all the duties that engineers perform at departmental headquarters and off-site job locations.
During the events, approximately 25 introductory and practical workshops were presented in different engineering fields.
