Sharjah Police receives SDTPS delegation

Sharjah 24: Colonel Dr. Sameh Al Halyan, Deputy Director of the Strategy and Performance Development Department at Sharjah Police, received a delegation from the Sharjah Department of Town Planning and Survey (SDTPS), headed by Engineer Abdulrahman Al Suwaiji, Director of the Department of Planning Studies at SDTPS.
This visit comes within the framework of the strategic cooperation between the Sharjah Police and the SDTPS, which achieves the desired strategic goals.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Abdulrahman Al Yafei, Deputy Director of the Planning Studies Department at the SDTPS, Eng. Anfal Al Ali, Head of the Urban Observatory Department, Eng. Alia Al Ghazal, Head of the Comprehensive Planning Department, Major Younis Al Ali, Head of the Strategic Planning Department at Sharjah Police, Eng. Hani Hussein and Mira Al Naqbi from the SDTPS, and a number of specialist officers.

Colonel Dr. Sameh Al Halian welcomed the visiting delegation, expressing his appreciation for this visit, and praising the efforts of the SDTPS in achieving the Emirate’s vision to be a global model in sustainable urban planning. 

He stressed the pivotal role of urban indicators in developing security plans and anticipating the future needs of the Emirate, pointing out the keenness of the Sharjah Police to support projects that would enhance the security and stability of society; improving its quality of life.

The delegation of the SDTPS reviewed the Urban Observatory project in the Emirate of Sharjah and its achievements, as it is a specialised centre for collecting and analysing data related to various fields of development; with the aim of improving the quality of life of the Emirate’s residents. 

The meeting also discussed the current indicators of the Sharjah Police for the Urban Observatory, and discussed new indicators that enhance the observatory and provide it with a comprehensive picture of the extent to which security and safety are achieved and spread in the Emirate, in addition to a number of topics of interest to both sides in achieving their strategic aspirations and future vision.

At the end of the visit, the visiting delegation expressed their thanks and appreciation to Sharjah Police for the warm welcome, expressing their hope for continuing fruitful cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two sides; in a way that contributes to improving the urban environment in Sharjah, and achieving the aspirations of the wise leadership and the ambitions of the Emirate’s residents; to make Sharjah a model to be emulated in the fields of sustainable development and advanced urban planning.
