Sharjah24: The Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) enthusiastically received 114 university students, both male and female, for comprehensive training on cutting-edge technical and administrative work systems, electricity distribution, water desalination, and new projects related to the natural gas network. This endeavour aims to equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the job market while fostering continuous engagement between the authority and higher educational institutions.
The authority is wholeheartedly committed to supporting student training by leveraging all available resources and projects to develop specialised technical expertise and nurture the required human capital for future roles within the authority and other institutions, departments, and companies. Acknowledging the importance of practical training during their academic journey, the programme provides students with valuable real-world insights into various administrative and technical work systems and equipment utilised in diverse projects.
Notably, participating institutions included the University of Sharjah, the University of the Emirates, the American University, and various prestigious higher technical colleges, offering a wide range of specialisations such as electrical engineering, renewable energy engineering, electronics, business administration, and more. The students were thoughtfully allocated to different departments within the authority, matching their respective fields of expertise, with 72 individuals assigned to Sharjah city, 28 to Khorfakkan, and 14 to Kalba.
