Sharjah24: Fatima Al Hosani, Head of the Contact and Communication Department at the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah announced the launch of the Healthy Shopping Centres project, which is the first of its kind in the country, in partnership with a group of entities in the emirate.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, Al Hosani revealed that the health shopping centres project targets different commercial shopping centres, highlighting their importance as vital areas that bring all members of the community together.
Al Hosani explained that the project aims to provide a supportive environment for physical activity and achieve food safety requirements, in addition to many standards that encourage community members to adopt a sustainable healthy lifestyle. She added that during the 6-months programme, the shopping centres should implement the approved healthy standards to ensure the centres’ safety environment for the members of the public.
