Sharjah 24: The Cultural and Media Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) in Sharjah announces the opening of participation in the Gulf Women Creativity Award in its sixth session until November 20, following the success achieved in the previous five sessions.
The award comes in support of Arab women’s creativity and their intellectual visions in cultural and literary subjects, and to enhance the role of fictional and poetic literature for women in the GCC countries, as well as an effective contribution to enriching modern Gulf literature, in addition to fueling the spirit of positive competition in literary creativity among those with expertise and experience.
The Cultural and Media Office of the Council manages the award and announces it through a guide that contains all the technical and procedural details from receiving applications until the honoring ceremony and award distribution, as well as providing support and assistance to achieve its goals. The award is committed to adhering to the values of independence, transparency and integrity during the process of evaluating the work of the candidates for the award by specialists and experts in the literary and cultural field.
New to this session is the addition of the field of theatrical composition, and the postponement of the field of literary studies for future sessions, with the aim of providing an opportunity for more than one literary genre to participate and to achieve diversity.
The award includes three fields: Poetry in all its forms, narration, and theatrical composition.
