Sharjah24: The Arab Parliament for Children (APC) is delighted to announce its readiness to welcome children from across the Arab world for the upcoming second session of the third term. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the supervision of His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, the session will take place next week in the Emirate of Sharjah.
A meeting was recently held at the Parliament headquarters in Sharjah to discuss the arrangements for hosting the upcoming session in Sharjah, and to ensure the comfort of Arab delegations during their stay from the 15th to 22 July.
During the meeting, various preparations and roles assigned to each committee and entity were reviewed. The participants highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts between different entities in the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Sharjah to organise accompanying events for the parliament members, including both boys and girls.
Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the APC expressed the significance of the upcoming hosting, recognising the notable participation of Arab countries in the parliament. He called upon all stakeholders to continue their efforts, which showcase the positive image of the United Arab Emirates in achieving continuous success and honourable representation in various sectors.
Furthermore, Secretary-General Al Barout expressed his gratitude to all the partners involved in organising the session's events. Their tireless support and dedication, along with the guidance and follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi and the sponsorship of Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit, have been instrumental in the preparation process.
The committee representatives emphasised the importance of enabling children to engage in discussions on the session's topic, "The Arab Child: Sustainable Efforts for the Climate." This will allow children to actively participate and contribute their constructive opinions in addressing the various aspects and dimensions of this crucial issue.
