Sharjah 24: The Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), one of the institutions of the Arab League, discussed a plan to hold the second meeting of the third session, which is scheduled to be held in the third week of July, in Sharjah.
The meeting, which was held at the Parliament headquarters, on Tuesday, tackled all the preparatory measures to receive APC children members, from the fifteenth to the twenty-second of July.  The meeting aims to involve children in a number of innovative and leadership activities, in addition to holding APC second meeting of the third session.

The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, and was attended by a number the Parliament officials, as well as a number of Sharjah Consultative Council officials. According to the agenda of the meeting, the attendees discussed the events programmes, and the tasks of the committees emanating from such activities.

During the meeting, Al Barout stressed the importance of preparing and activating partnerships with all governmental and concerned agencies to develop all available capabilities to host children, in Sharjah, making their parliamentary activities a success including programmes, meetings and visits.

Al Barout explained that the Arab Parliament for Children will work according to its plan to continue enabling children to shape, anticipate, and keep pace with the future.

The meeting discussed the work plan and the general preparations for organising the second meeting, distributing tasks for each committee to organise APC representatives’ gathering, under the umbrella of the Arab League, and under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

The meeting also discussed roles of all the human resources working in the committees, which will undertake the tasks of receiving and following up the Arab delegations, as well as the specialised committees that will work according to the different plans and schedule of coordination of the programme of visits, meetings and workshops, selected according to their age.

It is noteworthy that the Arab Parliament for the Child is one of the institutions of Arab Leagues and enjoys generous support and follow-up from His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, after His Highness adopted the idea of supporting and establishing APC, in Sharjah. 
The Parliament has become a platform for children to express their needs and issues leading to recommendations or charters that serve children in all Arab countries. Such recommendations are submitted to the Arab League to be presented to Arab leaders in their periodic meetings.
