APC sees two successful years of serving and empowering children

Sharjah 24: Two years after its Successful establishment on the seventh of April of 2019, the Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) continues developing Arab childhood, under the umbrella of the League of Arab States and with the generous support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
These days, the General Secretariat of the Arab Parliament for the Child celebrates its headquarters in Sharjah, with continuous efforts in the success of establishing the parliament and its launch by receiving four children from every Arab country to hold their sessions and discuss their issues over the course of a successful first session and the start of a second distinctive session .


Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary General of the Arab Parliament for Children, stressed the importance of this occasion, which is an Arab event par excellence in the framework of caring for and developing children in all fields, and the establishment of a parliament that houses elite children.


He pointed out that the General Secretariat of Parliament, with its inception, launched programmes that provide children with the various necessary skills and experiences that enable them to discuss childhood issues. For this purpose, many relevant workshops were organised to provide them with the necessary skills as representatives of the children of the Arab world in addition to offering the skills diploma in parliamentary work in cooperation with the University of Sharjah.


Al Barout thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah for His Highness’s initiative to host Parliament in Sharjah, and to establish a permanent headquarters for it in the presence of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
