The second meeting will be held during July, for members of the Parliament to discuss the “The Arab Child: A Sustainable Effort for the Climate”, in one of the most vital topics that constitute an Arab and international interest, and the importance of the Arab child having an opinion on this issue that affects the present and the future.
Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, confirmed that the upcoming second meeting comes in light of the parliament’s role to form Arab children who successively become APC members to raise their issues in an appropriate parliamentary environment, enabling them to actively participate in developing their countries, and practice true democracy.
Al Barout pointed out that the topic “The Arab Child: A Sustainable Effort for the Climate”, is important in terms of the child view on the climate, most importantly on the Arab efforts in this field, sustainable development plans, climate action, necessity to ensure a better quality of life, and understanding the implications of climate change.
Al Barout stressed that the important topic that will discussed, will be submitted to the Arab League, and will enhance the process that was established in 2019 with the great support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, to graduate generations of Arab children, to become active members in their societies, and have the ability to participate, contribute, and assist in their countries towards the development of their homelands and support the efforts made, especially in the vital fields, including climate.
