Sharjah24: The Arab Parliament for the Child (APC), one of the institutions of the Arab League, launched from its headquarters in Sharjah of the United Arab Emirates, in cooperation with the University of Sharjah (UoS), a professional diploma programme for parliamentary work skills for all Arab children, with the participation of children from 14 countries that are not members of the Arab Parliament for the child.
The programme targets children from the Arab world, ages 12 to 18, over four continuous months, given virtually.

The advanced diploma axes, given by specialised professors, will focus on raising the research and parliamentary capabilities of the children and achieve the goals outlined in the Basic Law to consolidate the success of the parliamentary experience for children and contribute a role in the rehabilitation of children in this specific field.

The axes of diploma at the general level will include an introduction to the definition of the child by the Arab Parliament and the description of the Arab League in terms of its history and member states, in addition to providing the diploma for various skills, parliamentary culture, and general culture, leading to child rights and a graduation project.

With the launch of the diploma, Prof. Dr. Radi Al Zubaidi, Director of Continous Education Centre and Professional Development, spoke about the importance of the diploma and its role in the context of the constructive partnership between the Arab Parliament for the Child and the University of Sharjah. He called on the participating children to benefit from the diploma’s axes.

Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, stressed the importance of launching this diploma and continuing cooperation with the University of Sharjah in the context of the vision sought by the Parliament in qualifying the children of the Arab world in the field of parliamentary work and broadening their perceptions.
