The event provided students and visitors with the opportunity to gain a closer understanding of the educational environment and academic services it offers, contributing to attracting talents and preparing specialised generations to safeguard and preserve heritage.

Introduction to academic programmes

The event began with a welcome address by Dr Khalid Al Shehhi, Director of the Academic Administration at the institute. This was followed by an introductory presentation highlighting the tasks of the Academic Administration and its programmes, as well as the role of the Open Day as an effective platform for strengthening communication with students and those interested in the field. It also introduced them to the educational, training and professional programmes offered by the institute, and their role in preparing qualified professionals who contribute to preserving and safeguarding cultural heritage in accordance with the highest academic standards.

Educational technologies and interactive experience

The programme included a presentation on the smart academic assistant, in addition to field tours of classrooms that allowed visitors to explore the educational environment. Faculty members and the Academic Administration team also held direct meetings to answer attendees’ enquiries regarding academic programmes, admission requirements and study procedures.

The organisation of the Open Day comes as part of the SIH’s efforts to expand channels of communication with the community, introduce its specialised academic programmes, and support the process of preparing national talents capable of documenting, preserving and passing on Emirati heritage to future generations.
