Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) - Dibba Al Hisn branch, hosted an interactive workshop titled “Security and Safety in the Work Environment”, presented by the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, with the aim of enhancing employees' awareness of preventive and safety measures and achieving a safe work environment.
The workshop addressed the technical developments in systems and technology as well as the application of the highest standards of security and safety at work, and the qualification of cadres in all protection systems in line with the highest standards.
Tahani Al Dhaheri from the Department of Public Relations in the Department of Branches in the SDPW pointed to the pioneering efforts made by the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority in promoting occupational health and safety in the work environment, and ensuring the provision of a safe, healthy, sustainable and model work environment for employees, which would contribute to developing the institutional work system, and raising the productivity and efficiency of human cadres, who represent the basic wealth and vital energy that support work development.
Al Dhaheri stressed that the organisation of this workshop comes within the framework of the SDPW's keenness to establish a culture of happiness and wellbeing among its employees and to contribute to supporting the objectives of the National Wellbeing Strategy, which focuses on enhancing the lifestyle of individuals.
