The initiative included various gestures to ensure different ways of giving charity for the deceased mothers of the people of the suburb through the Sharjah Charity International, as part of the Council’s keenness to promote the community activities of the people.
The event comes in the context of the council’s vision to highlight the role of the mothers, in an honour of their great position and role in building a good family.
The Council presented a cash check of 10,000 dirhams to the Sharjah Charity International (SCI) to allocate it to dig water wells as a current charity on their behalf. The check was received by Aisha Al-Huwaidi, Director of Volunteering and Community Service Department in the SCI.
For his part, His Excellency Khalfan Saeed Khalfan Al Marri, Chairman of Al Khalidiya Suburb Council, expressed his appreciation and praise to every mother, lauding their distinguished role in providing care for their children, contributing in building the future generations.
He also underscored the Council’s social and humanitarian initiatives that reflects its societal role.
