SM: Sitting in car does not exempt drivers from paying parking fee

Sharjah24: Sharjah Municipality (SM) has clarified via a Twitter post, on Thursday, that sitting in a vehicle does not exempt parking users from having to pay the parking fee while in a paid parking zone.

The Municipality clarifies that drivers have to pay the parking fees as long as they occupy a parking space, contributing in allowing as many drivers as possible to use the available parking spaces.

The Municipality has further allowed a grace period of 10 minutes to pay for the parking from the time parked through any of the available payment channels.
