Sharjah 24: The Board of Trustees for the Sharjah Award for Volunteer Work has announced eleven new categories for the coming season, all of which will serve to strengthen the "award's" position as a leader in its field, foster its growth, and ensure that it maintains its place as a forerunner in the awards world.
During a meeting chaired by Afaf Ibrahim Al-Marri, the Board of Trustees confirmed that this addition was made possible by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler.
The Board of Trustees has decided to modify the present structure from one with 48 winners over 16 categories to one with 11 categories and a possible 62 winners.
The Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Award for Volunteer Work is elated that its stated goals of motivating and encouraging community members and organisations to volunteer via unique projects that benefit the community and aid others have been realised.
