Mona Al Hawai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Kidney Patients Association, Director of the Emirates Health Services’ Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, said that the association organised a dialogue session titled "Together for a kidney-disease free community", within the framework of cooperation and community partnerships to support health in the UAE community, and in conjunction with World Kidney Day, which falls in March of each year, with the aim of enhancing individuals' awareness of kidney diseases and ways to treat and prevent them.
In exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24”, Al Hawai stressed the importance of such dialogue sessions that aim to highlight the role of all sectors and entities to prevent kidney disease in the UAE community, based on the directives of Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, of the necessity of mobilising efforts and launching awareness programmes aimed at spreading awareness among community members of kidney disease, and providing financial and moral support to kidney patients.
Al Hawai thanked and appreciated all the strategic partners for their continuous support to the association in order to make its initiatives a success, and also thanked all the speakers and specialists for their keenness to participate and make the utmost efforts to make the session successful and enable it to achieve its targets.
