The meeting was led by Maryam bin Dakhin, who is the president of the Association. A representative from the Ministry of Community Development and the association’s board members attended the meeting.
Bin Dakhin said that the meeting was important because it was a place to share ideas and come up with plans and suggestions that would improve the way work is done, foster a culture of innovation, make it easier to start health awareness programmes and campaigns, and show creativity in coming up with different ways to get awareness messages to as many people as possible in the UAE.
Since its inception in 2006, the Friends of Kidney Patients Association has worked to educate UAE residents about kidney diseases, provide medical treatment and appropriate health care for patients, and support hospitals and health centres by providing them with diagnostic and treatment devices and equipment. Throughout the year, the organisation conducts several awareness programmes and activities.
