Sharjah 24: The Municipal Affairs Department in Sharjah organised the first municipal forum for chairmen of municipal councils and directors of municipalities in cities and regions of the emirate, to discuss the challenges facing councils and municipalities and come up with innovative solutions. The forum was held in Sharjah Safari, Al Dhaid.
Dr. Sulaiman bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, Head of the Municipal Affairs Department in the Emirate of Sharjah, pointed out the importance of focusing on projects and work systems of councils and municipalities with the aim of developing them and improving their quality to provide the best services and projects for the emirate and its cities and regions.
He confirmed, in an exclusive statement to "Sharjah 24" that during the forum it was agreed to increase the percentage of research and field studies, to improve and develop housing and the engineering aspect of construction works to further improve them during the coming period.
He added that the first municipal forum is the first forum to discuss the methods of development and improvement of the services and works in which the municipalities and municipal councils carry out in the emirate, noting that this edition of the forum is considered successful to significantly improve performance and develop creative future plans that enhance the status of municipalities and councils in the Emirate of Sharjah.
