The Municipal Affairs Department in Sharjah, headed by Dr. Sulaiman bin Sarhan Al Zaabi, organised the first municipal forum for chairmen of municipal councils and directors of municipalities of cities and regions of the emirate at Sharjah Safari in Al Dhaid.
The forum aims to develop constructive cooperation and joint coordination, in order to unify efforts to enhance ways to improve municipal work in the emirate, and provide all services according to the highest international quality standards.
Dr. Al Zaabi stressed the need to develop ways to improve the municipal work system and provide the best standards in providing municipal services in a smooth and comfortable manner to customers, contributing and enhancing the rapid renaissance witnessed by the emirate under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and the follow-up of Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council.
He explained that the forum reviewed the most important achievements of the department and the municipalities, in which opinions and proposals were exchanged regarding development and future projects that support the path of success and the crystallisation of work plans for the current year, pointing to the need for concerted efforts and work under one umbrella in order to achieve more success.
At the end of the forum, the Department of Municipal Affairs honored the Sharjah Municipal Council and the Municipality, Al-Batayeh region, and the organizing team for the initiative of afforestation of the Al-Manthur Reserve in the Al-Batayeh region, in appreciation of their sincere efforts and contributions.
