Sharjah 24: Based on the generous directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the unlimited support of His Highness to promote the sport of the forefathers, the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, in cooperation with the Emirates Racing Authority, is organising the fourth race of the Sharjah Longines Racecourse for the 2022/2023 season- the GCC Cup, on Saturday, 24 December 2022, at 2:15 pm on Sharjah Longines Racecourse.
The event is sponsored by the Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival, the Sharjah International Airport Authority, the SAIF Zone, Sharjah Municipality, the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, the Sharjah Sports Council, Sharjah Sports Channel, and Air Arabia.
The race is held with a strong participation of purebred Arabian horses, horses of local production, and purebred horses, with a total of 96 horses, with 9 horses in reserve, as the race consists of six runs for various distances and levels.
