The Liverpool legend was briefed during the meeting on the council's plans and programmes. He expressed his willingness to cooperate and share the experiences he gained from his career.
Fowler praised the sports infrastructure in the UAE in general, and in Sharjah in particular, and thanked Al Hazami for the warm reception and the briefing during the meeting.
It is worth mentioning that Fowler is one of the legends of Liverpool FC who graduated from the club’s academy and one of the team’s historic scorers (128 goals in 266 games). He played for several English clubs, namely Leeds United, Manchester City, Cardiff City, and Blackburn Rovers. He achieved nine local and continental titles, and represented the England national team from 1996 to 2002, and won many individual awards.
