Sharjah24: The Friends of Arthritis Patients (FOAP) of the Health Education Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah organised a virtual forum for arthritis doctors, in cooperation with the GCC Association of Immunology and Rheumatology.
The forum aims to enhance awareness of arthritis diseases, treatment options, and ways of prevention, and keep abreast of the latest scientific developments in rheumatic diseases.
In the presence Waheeda Abdelaziz, Chairman of FOAP, and Dr. Suad Hanawi, President of the GCC Association of Immunology and Rheumatology, the forum discussed five axes.
The first axis: rheumatic diseases and their link with eye diseases
The second axis: rheumatic diseases in children
The third axis: osteoporosis and rheumatic diseases
The fourth axis: Lupus, a disease that can appear with different symptoms
The fifth axis: back pain and rheumatic diseases
Waheeda Abdulaziz indicated that the forum aims to raise societal awareness of arthritis diseases and ways to prevent them, enhance communication with arthritis patients to provide consultations and improve health services, support rheumatism patients, and find solutions to their challenges face.
She thanked all attendees and all the doctors for their contributions to the forum.
