Jamal Abdullah Al Mazmi, Head of SM’s Appearance Monitoring Department, confirmed that the municipality is intensifying its monitoring and raising awareness for the public who spend their leisure time in green areas and some beaches by organising inspection tours to ensure compliance with laws and guidelines.
10 behaviors are prohibited in green spaces, including littering, vandalizing public property, barbecuing designated areas, playing football, accompanying pets, vandalizing grass or flowers, riding bicycles or motorbikes, smoking shisha, raising the volume of speakers, camping in parks and public areas without authorisation.
He also noted that the municipality receives all observations and reports through the call center at 993, which receives all calls 24/7.
