Sharjah 24: Sharjah's Department of Statistics and Community Development Chairman, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi expressed his best wishes to the Emiratis and their inspired leaders on the occasion of the country's 51st National Day.
He stated: "With the union, the United Arab Emirates has become a leading worldwide model in development based on plans and policies that adopt the greatest scientific and knowledge practises, and the leaders of the Emirates, since the foundation of the state on the second of December 1971, and until this moment, have had forward-looking visions that look forward to attaining leadership and continuous development processes, taking into consideration the significant pace in contemporary society.
"Statistics is the essence of the development through which the UAE has moved into a stage of actual development in numerous areas within a short period," he continued.
He explained that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ranked first in a number of global development indices, the evaluation of which was predicated in great part on data and statistics, confirming the fruitful influence of such information on the country's groundbreaking success.
