Dr Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage and Editor-in-Chief of Marawed, opened the edition with an editorial titled "The Man Who Sparked the First Flame", paying tribute to Khalifa's lifelong dedication to poetry, culture and heritage.
The publication also features contributions from leading writers, academics and researchers who examine the late poet's influence on cultural memory, folklore studies and Arabic literature.
Al Musallam said that dedicating the issue to Khalifa reflects the institute's appreciation of his exceptional legacy and aims to provide a lasting reference for researchers, readers and those interested in heritage and cultural studies.
The edition concludes with a tribute from Dr Mouni Bounaama, Managing Editor of Marawed, who recalls the final moments of Khalifa's life and reflects on the lasting impact of his literary and cultural legacy.
