Sharjah 24: A delegation from the Sharjah Age-Friendly Office of the Sharjah Social Service Department (SSSD) visited the Sharjah Police (SP) to find out the distinguished services provided by the SP to the elderly in its various departments.
The SSSD’s delegation, which consisted of Asma Al Khodari, Director of the Sharjah Age-Friendly Office, and her deputy, Aisha Hashem, met Lt. Col. Hamad bin Qasmol, Deputy Director of the Community Police Department, and representatives from the police departments.
During the meeting, Al Khodari expressed her respect for the institutions that pay attention and respect to the elderly, and called on everyone to adopt initiatives that are in the interest of the elderly.
She added that the office began with inspection visits since 2021, where it has carried out inspection visits in coordination with government entities, numbering 23 visits so far, with regard to age-friendly services.
