Sharjah24: The Sharjah Police, cooperating with the University of Sharjah, launched a security awareness initiative intending to raise the level of community awareness and a sense of security among members of society, especially female students.

The initiative will continue until mid-2023.

It includes security lectures focusing on several axes, including personal security and electronic extortion, in addition to introducing the "Najeed" service as a secure link between the public and Sharjah Police for assistance when exposed to bank fraud, electronic extortion, or in the event of witnessing any negative phenomena.

Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Helo, Director of the Preventive Security Department at Sharjah Police, stated that the initiative, targeted female students of the Higher Colleges of Technology, University of Sharjah, and the American University of Sharjah, aims to educate them about the dangers of electronic blackmail exposure, urging them to deal with strangers with extremely cautious.
