Sharjah 24: The Khatm Melaha Border Port in the Emirate of Sharjah, along with a high-level delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, celebrated the 52nd Omani National Day.
This comes as part of the UAE’s celebrations of the occasion, which included a set of special events, embodying the historical depth of the Emirati-Omani relations.
His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi, Director of Ports and Border Points Affairs at the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, in his speech during the ceremony, extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to the Sultanate of Oman’s leadership and people on this precious occasion, welcoming the guests of the UAE from Oman.
His Excellency stressed that the UAE's celebration of this occasion is an affirmation of the strength of the brotherly relations between the two countries, which during the past decades witnessed rapid growth and reached the level of strategic partnership in all political, economic, social and cultural fields.
His Excellency highlighted the efforts of the Organising Committee for Border Ports and Points, which contributed to the strengthening of these well-established relations, through the implementation of a package of projects to develop the infrastructure of border crossings in Sharjah and, in cooperation with its strategic partners, sought to provide the necessary facilities for crossers.
The Organising Committee received the Omani brothers at the border crossings with souvenirs and roses, and congratulated them on this national occasion, which reflected the depth of the good relations between the UAE and Oman.
