Sharjah 24: Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, announced the opening of the Nubian Heritage Week in the Arab Republic of Egypt, as part of the activities of the World Heritage Week season.
Speaking exclusively to “Sharjah 24”, the chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage indicated that this is the second hosting of the Arab Republic of Egypt, stressing the importance of this week because of the distinctive significance it holds for Nubian people, who is deeply connected to the Arabian Peninsula, noting that in the UAE there is an art called the Nuban that uses the tanbura instrument, in addition to the presence of Nubian families in the UAE and other Gulf countries.

Al Musallam concluded stressing that the Nubian heritage is rich and has many features that are of interest to the public.
