Sharjah24: Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, President of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH), held a meeting with Dr. Mustafa Abdel Moneim, Secretary-General of the Arab Center for Tourist Media, Tuesday morning at the Institute's headquarters in Sharjah, to discuss the integrated relationship between heritage and tourism activity in preserving the intangible cultural heritage and introducing its various components and various domains to promote tangible heritage, its historical monuments, and its various archaeological sites.
During the meeting, Al Musallam reviewed the strategies of the Institute and its role in promoting heritage awareness through educational programmes, events, and publications.

He spoke about the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, stressing that His Highness' support and encouragement for cultural and heritage preservation work is the most significant drive for developing work.

Al Musallam praised the role of the Arab Center for Tourist Media in promoting tourism in the Arab world, introducing various attractions in the Arab countries, and working on launching prizes that push tourism activity towards diversity.

Dr. Abdel Moneim, was thrilled with SIH's achievements in preserving and promoting tangible and intangible cultural heritage and its contribution to promoting Sharjah as a tourist attraction. He stressed that the center pursues a striving vision of promoting Arab tourism turning it into a vital pillar in supporting the economy in the Arab world through promoting various cultural and heritage attractions.
