Sharjah24: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the Fourth Sharjah International Islamic Economics Conference, entitled: Codifying the provisions of Islamic financial transactions, implementation and future foresight, was launched on Tuesday, organised by the Sharjah Center for Islamic Economics at Al Qasimia University, over a period of two days.
The conference was opened by His Excellency Jamal Salem Al Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, and Prof. Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, in addition to the presence of the deans, directors of centers and professors of faculties at the university.
His Excellency Prof. Awwad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, stressed during his speech at the opening session the university’s keenness to activate scientific research and link it to community service and to organize scientific conferences that achieve this trend. It will be presented through the conference sessions and discussions.
His Excellency Jamal Salem Al Tarifi, President of the University, accompanied by His Excellency Prof. Awwad Al-Khalaf, President of the University, honoured the Sharjah Islamic Bank, the strategic partner of the conference, and personalities from scholars, researchers and participating parties.
This was followed by the start of the conference programme on its first day, which witnessed the organisation of three main sessions in which the conference guests, scholars and experts spoke.
