Sharjah 24: The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Qasimia University (AQU) organised an event for elderly people, with the participation of a number of supporting and collaborate institutions in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The event comprised of a number of activities that brought joy to elderly people, including a workshop for preparing sweets in cooperation with the Sharjah Maritime Museum, and another for drawing on cups in cooperation with the Sharjah Heritage Museum. In addition to reviving popular dishes with the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD).
At the end of the event, AQU presented souvenirs to the elderly in appreciation and respect for their efforts.
In this regard, His Excellency Prof. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University (AQU), stressed that the event is launched by the Deanship of Student Affairs comes within the framework of achieving the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, towards making Emirate of Sharjah an age-friendly city.
