Sharjah 24: The Department of Awqaf launched the new Waqf project, in cooperation with the Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD). The project is concerned with the construction of an endowment building, the proceeds of which will go to the elderly care home in Sharjah.
His Excellency Talib Al Marri, Director General of the Department of Awqaf, stated that this project seeks to achieve sustainable income for the elderly care home, stressing that the achievement of this humanitarian initiative comes in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
It is worth noting that one of the benefactors contributed to the total cost of 5 million dirhams, and those who wish to do good can donate through the electronic donation platform on the department’s website, and by sending a text message to (du) and (Etisalat) subscribers on the number (2114) to donate (10) dirhams, and it is also possible to donate to the project account on Sharjah Islamic Bank (AE18041000011444471003).
