Sharjah 24: During a press conference on September 12, 2022, in the club's theatre hall, Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club’s Chairman Salem Mohammed bin Howaiden Al Ketbi introduced the Italian Marco Simone, the new Club's technical supervisor of football. In attendance was Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council.
Simone is a great Italian footballer who has played for several top teams. He handled the training of different European and Arab sports clubs, and he earned multiple league and cup titles in Italy and France.
Ibn Howaiden expressed gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Council for its continued support, noted that veteran Marco would be a vital new addition to the first football team, and expressed hope that the club would fulfil the ambitious goals set forth by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
Marco Simone thanked the Sharjah Sports Council and Al Dhaid Club, adding that he appreciated the opportunity to compete and that the club has been a great introduction to the United Arab Emirates.
Issa Hilal congratulated the club on this big win and said that the Sharjah Sports Council would keep helping the club and all other clubs in the emirate.
