Sharjah 24: During the first half of this year, the doctors at Khorfakkan Hospital performed about 600 major and minor operations, including brain, spine and cerebral hemorrhage surgeries.
Dr. Hanan Al Raisi, Deputy Medical Director at Khorfakkan Hospital, revealed a huge leap in the Operations Department in terms of surgeries and successful operations that it achieved during the first half of 2022.

In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", she said that based on the strategy of the Emirates Health Services and in the context of its mission to provide health services in accordance with the highest quality standards globally, the hospital is witnessing a qualitative leap at the human and technical levels.

She stated that the remarkable development in the hospital came to keep pace with the increase in the turnout of visitors in light of the increase in population density in the city of Khorfakkan, and the huge tourist turnout, explaining that about 25 thousand people visited the hospital during the first half of 2022.

She clarified that the Operations Department is witnessing a remarkable development in terms of the number of operations, and thus the human competencies of doctors and nurses, in addition to providing the most advanced technologies and medical devices.

She added that the hospital performed nearly 600 major and minor operations during the first half of 2022, including operations that were crowned with success, such as skull, brain, spine, and internal bleeding surgeries.

The Deputy Medical Director at Khorfakkan Hospital indicated that among the recent successful and accurate operations, a foot surgery was performed on a case in the thirties who had a severe accident in the foot that resulted in severe damage to the bones, joints and tissues of the foot because of a cut of 20 cm in length.

She concluded her statement by saying that the doctors succeeded in stopping the bleeding and restoring the foot and blood circulation in it after a strenuous effort, and the patient's condition was stabilised without complications.
