Sharjah24: Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority (SDAA) organised a visit for Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Dhaweani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority in the Sultanate of Oman and Head of the Technical Office of the Oman Cultural Complex Project, to the House of Wisdom in Sharjah, in the presence of a number of senior officials and employees of the Documentation and Archives Authority.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the unique experience of the House of Wisdom in providing distinguished services in the field of libraries, and its technical and artistic aspects that serve the public in an innovative manner that integrates the concepts of the library and the social and cultural forum.
The visit included a tour of the various departments and facilities of the House of Wisdom and standing on the huge library which is filled with hundreds of thousands of books in various fields.
The delegation also toured the lobbies and corridors of House of Wisdom, which today represents a tangible model for future libraries, with holding rare books and manuscripts.
