Sharjah24: Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, received a delegation from the Child Safety Department (CSD) of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, headed by Hanadi Al Yafei, Director of the Child Safety Department, Thoraya Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Hessa Al Jarwan, and Andrew Morley, Founder of Children's House in the UK.
The CSD reviewed the "Kanaf" project, which was established by the wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, President of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah. The project's purpose is to unify the procedures for protecting children victims of physical and sexual abuse and providing legal, psychological, and social support.

The meeting discussed the most prominent international practices in the field of child protection, and the joint responsibilities of the partners, including a clear vision of the child protection course and the procedures that will be passed through the presence of all the competent authorities in Sharjah.

Al Shamsi stressed that the Sharjah Police is keen to provide appropriate support for the project, which will achieve its lofty humanitarian mission of protecting children and preserving their rights in many areas that concern the safety of the child and the preservation of his entity.

He indicated that the project would provide Sharjah Police with a qualitative experience in child safety and benefit from this cooperation in gaining diverse experiences that will lead to participating in various international and local awards concerned with child safety.
