Sharjah 24: Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman of Labour Standards Development Authority (LSDA), honoured the sponsors and supporters of the Ramadan labour feasts, held daily for over 3,000 labourers at Al Saja'a Labour Park and Ramadan labour tents during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The activities also include awareness and religious lectures delivered by community police lecturers and preachers (in several languages), hosted by the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs.
Al Qaseer emphasised that this effort demonstrates the authority's commitment to social activities for labourers and adds to the consolidation of labourers' and employers' ideals of solidarity.
He stated that the authority is looking forward to enhancing contact with labourers through these initiatives in response to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's directions to respect and serve them well.
He also expressed gratitude to the Labour Standards Development Authority's key partners for funding and supporting this project.
