The events will take place every Friday from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the stadiums of Sharjah National Park. The championship is organised by the Sharjah Sports Council in collaboration with Sharjah Sports Club and Reach Target Sports Services. It was revealed that a sixth game, Padel tennis, would be introduced to the championship.
The championship is based on sporting competitions between several labour teams in six sports, with around 2500 players anticipated to compete in 195 games of football, cricket, padel tennis, basketball, volleyball, and hockey.
The fifth edition will conclude with a closing ceremony at which the top teams will be awarded with cash and awards totaling AED 25,000.
Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman of the Sharjah Labour Standards Development Authority, stated that this championship is part of the SLSDA 's strategic plan, which was established by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and whose objectives include establishing sports as a way of life for workers and providing them with opportunities to entertain themselves.
He expressed his profound gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the championship, including sponsors and governmental and private sector entities.
