The Sharjah International Fast Chess Championship (SIFCC), in its twenty-seventh edition, will begin, on Wednesday, with the participation of 200 players from 29 countries.
This includes 30 players with international titles from within and outside the country, led by the great international master Salem Abdulrahman, a player for the UAE national team and Sharjah Chess Club, and will run through April 9.
The organising committee disclosed the details of the revised edition during a press conference hosted by the club's management in the presence of Sheikh Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Mualla, President of the Sharjah Cultural Chess Club and Chairman of the organising committee.
Sheikh Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Mualla expressed gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for supporting the club, its players, and all of its activities.
