Sharjah 24: Within the activities of the Deanship of Students Affairs at Al Qasimia University, the Deanship organised, on Wednesday, a reception for the new students of the 2021-2022 spring semester, at the university’s theater, while applying all precautionary measures to prevent the “Covid-19” virus in light of the full return of study to the university.
The ceremony was inaugurated in the presence of His Excellency Prof. Awad Al Khalaf, Acting President of Al-Qasimia University, Prof. Hassan Al Malakh, Acting Vice President for the Academic Affairs, Ms. Ahlam bin Jarash, Assistant Director for Student Affairs, Deans of Colleges, and a number of members of the teaching and administrative staff.
In a speech, His Excellency Prof. Awad Al Khalaf welcomed and congratulated the new students for joining the five colleges of the University and urged them to sincerely seek knowledge and diligence.
His Excellency Prof. Awad Al Khalaf reviewed the capabilities and the advanced educational environment available in the university that qualifies students to acquire knowledge and experience throughout the available scientific rooms, libraries, educational and sports facilities, which reflects the support and care provided by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the university’s endeavour to attract students from all countries of the world.
An introductory documentary was shown about the university, the activities of the Deanship of Student Affairs and programmes targeting students, and to provide an incubating environment for talents at the university.
Then Prof. Dr. Suleiman Salem Al Sarayrah, Dean of Student Affairs, gave a speech in which he welcomed the new students studying in the university’s colleges, inviting them to benefit from the expertise of professors and educational facilities, and introduced them to how to participate in the activities and centres available for talent development, advising them to use their time in scientific endeavour to achieve higher grades and return to their home countries to contribute to their development.
