Sharjah24: His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Salumeh Al Ketbi, Director of Al Bataeh Municipality, revealed that the "Al Ghaf Trees Pruning" initiative was launched by the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA), in cooperation with the Municipal Council and Al Bataeh Municipality, aims to educate the people of the area about the correct methods for pruning Al Ghaf trees, and ways of protecting them.
The initiative was inaugurated in Al Bataeh area, in the presence of Her Excellency Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah bin Halis Al Ketbi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Al Bataeh region, and a number of officials.
His Excellency Abdullah Sultan Salumeh Al Ketbi stated that the environmental initiative launched by the Authority, in cooperation with the Municipal Council and Al Bataeh Municipality, contributing to the preservation of perennial trees and Al Ghaf trees.
He explained in an exclusive statement to "Sharjah 24", that Al-Bataeh area is rich with Al Ghaf trees, stressing that the goal of the initiative is to raise public awareness about the best practices of preserving Al Ghaf trees.
