Sharjah 24: Last year, Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) obtained a record number of championships and sports activities, in individual and group games, organised by the Department of Sports and Development Affairs in coordination with Sharjah clubs.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), praised the excellence of sports activities in individual and group games, during last year, which reflects the visions of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, aiming at supporting youth.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami stressed that SSC is keen to cooperate with and support different clubs, institutions and sports federations in the UAE, to achieve SSC mission and strategic objectives, to develop and expand the base of individual and group games, raise the levels of players, and to invest the infrastructure of Sharjah facilities.
His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami added that SSC continues to exert efforts made to nurture and refine talents, and prepare tomorrow’s athletes who will honour Sharjah.
Nabil Muhammad Ashour, Director of the Department of Sports and Development Affairs, said that if courses, camps and workshops were added, SSC will exceed 200 figure activities in general, and 2700 players.
Nabil Muhammad Ashour concluded by thanking His Excellency the Chairman of SSC for the continuous follow-up, and stressed that the yearly goal in the management’s activities is to discover talents at an early stage, raise the levels of players and refine professionals so that the performance and results indicator continues to rise, achieving the best return for the sports system in Sharjah.
