Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) met with the UAE Athletics Federation to explore ways of working together to improve sports and raise the levels of players in the Emirate of Sharjah and throughout the nation. The two parties also talked about future plans and ways to benefit from the emirate's strengths and resources.

In the presence of a number of authorities and members of the Board of Directors, Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, welcomed the delegation of the Federation led by Major General Dr Mohammed Abdullah Al Murr.

Al Hazami stated that the Council is eager to collaborate with and support the country's numerous sports federations in order to fulfil its purpose, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
