Al Hazami: New law, good news for the Sports arena

Sharjah 24: His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), extended his congratulations to the UAE cabinet, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for adopting the new UAE sports law.
 His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami said that the new law is good news for the sports movement, especially since it coincided with the first month of the new year, which will hopefully be the beginning of a real shift for sports in the UAE.

His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami noted that the issuance of the new law was at the right time to keep pace with the changes in the sports movement during the past decades. He added that the changes were many, the most prominent of which, was the establishment of the three sports councils in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah; in addition to a large number federations of modern games, represented by the General Authority of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, sports councils, and federations, clubs, academies and other institutions.

His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami added that issuance of the new sports law confirmed the wise leadership's interest in sports, and keenness that the sports system will be in line with the UAE achievements in other fields, the international reputation it enjoys among the countries of the world. 

The Chairman of SSC concluded his statement by saying that he participated in one of the law preparation committees amending the list of financial allocations, to keep pace with ambitions and meet requirements at all levels, starting from the costs of training camps to remunerations due to the champions.  He confirmed that the desired sports development will be achieved by increasing support and resources and by developing the efficiency and capabilities of the human element.
