Sharjah 24: Three theatre training courses for Sharjah students were concluded on December 23, 2021, at the Sharjah Institute of Theatrical Arts and the Theatrical Association. The courses were organised by the Sharjah Education Council (SEC) in collaboration with the Arab Theatre Institute (ATI).
The three courses are part of the council's "Pillars" initiative, which seeks to build community and belonging values, prevent negative behaviours in society, develop students' talents, and boost their knowledge via creative theatrical activities.

Both the Sharjah Education Council and the Arab Theatre Institute are committed to enhancing community institutions' connections via their engagement. These courses are to be foundation to a year-long training programme that aims to recognise and develop the theatrical skills of youngsters aged nine to sixteen. It will also act as a way for students to complement their school's theatre studies.

Ismail Abdullah, Secretary-General of the Arab Theatre Institute, stated that the institute led by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, is prepared to collaborate with all parties involved in raising children together and promoting values of belonging, because theatre, as His Highness stated, is a school for morals and freedom.

At the conclusion of the three courses, Ghannam Ghannam, Director of Training at the Arab Theatre Institute, stated, "The trainees performed short acting scenes that represented their talents and abilities and creatively articulated their thoughts."
