Renewing cooperation between ATI and the 22nd CTD Administration

Sharjah 24: An agreement was signed to renew the cooperation between the Arab Theatre Institute (ATI) and the management of the 22nd Carthage Theatre Days (CTD), under the supervision of the National Foundation for the Development of Festivals Cultural and Artistic Events in Tunisia.
This agreement falls within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member of the UAE, Ruler of Sharjah, Supreme President of the ATI, and in implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding that laid the foundations for cooperation between the ATI and the Carthage Theater Days festival, signed between them in 2013.

The vital elements of the agreement confirmed the ATI’s support for the activities of the 22nd Carthage Theatre Days through the festival's intellectual symposium, which will discuss the topic "Theater in a Time of Crisis " with the participation of 29 critics and researchers from the Arab world and abroad.

Ismail Abdullah, The Secretary-General of the Arab Theatre Institute, considered this agreement as another step to unite efforts with the National Foundation for the Development of Cultural and Artistic Events in Tunisia, which is supervising one of the most prestigious theatre festivals, the CTD ".

The Director-General of the National Foundation, Youssef Al Achkham, praised the initiative of the Institute to conclude a partnership that brings together the Carthage Theatre Days. He expressed his happiness and his readiness to develop such partnerships that reflect the farsightedness of those in charge of them through their interest in various theatrical experiences in the Arab world.

Dr Nissaf Ben Hafsia confirmed that this step is a foundational process by the Institute and the Festival to support theatrical talents. She also stated that the CTD are open to partnerships and cooperations between several prestigious international institutions, organisations, and festivals intending to contribute to supporting national, Arabic, and African culture.
