Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Arab Cultural Club (SACC) hosted a poetry performance by Iraqi poet "Nasir Al Nahr" Friday evening. The performance was moderated by Muhammad Wild Muhammad Salem. Sajida Al Moussawi, a poet, participated in the event by offering a critique on "Nasir Al Nahr's" poetry.
Al Nahr is a poet and journalist from Iraq. He recently released his latest poetry book, “Whomever it is, I say welcome”.
Al Moussawi described Al Nahr’s lyrical style as transparent, beautiful, and creative, and said that in his poems he deals with topics of isolation, alienation, and loneliness.
Detachment, and existentialism are all expressed in Al Nahr’s recitation of various poems, which he linked to cities, nature, and changing seasons. His homeland is depicted in depth in his writings.
