Sharjah 24: Last week, Sharjah Centre for Learning Difficulties (SCLD), in cooperation with the Sharjah Special Education Authority, organised the activities of the virtual forum on ways to confront violence and bullying, with the participation of a group of social and psychological specialists.
The forum included awareness lectures and several educational workshops, which shed light on the most prominent scientific and educational practices in addressing the phenomenon of bullying.

The forum is part of the initiatives and activities of the campaign to confront violence and bullying for the academic year 2021-2022, which was recently launched by the centre, as part of its efforts to bring about a change in the attitudes and behaviours related to bullying.

Sheikha Jameela bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director General of Sharjah City for Humanitarian, confirmed that organising the forum comes within the framework of the efforts of the Sharjah Centre for Learning Disabilities, to reduce negative social phenomena that greatly affect the mental health of people with learning difficulties, the most prominent of which is the phenomenon of bullying.

The activities of the campaign to confront violence and bullying for the academic year 2021-2022, launched by the Sharjah Centre for Learning Difficulties, in cooperation with the Sharjah Special Education Authority, in partnership with the Sharjah Social Services Department and with media sponsorship from the Sharjah Government Media Bureau and the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority, continued until November 18. It included many awareness activities and programmes, with an awareness message on bullying, and the role of legal legislation in protecting people with learning disabilities from this negative phenomenon.
