Sharjah 24: The Parents Council in Khorfakkan celebrated the "Mural in Love of the Flag", a UAE Flag Day event, On Tuesday, with the participation of several government officials and school students accompanying their parents, in the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre.
Dr. Rashid Khamis Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, attended the event along with Sami Ibrahim Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Khorfakkan Parents Council.
In an exclusive interview with “Sharjah 24”, Sami Al Naqbi said that the event is a celebration of the Flag Day, as it is a lofty symbol of the union and a banner that brings the UAE citizens together.
He explained the reason behind organising the event in the Khorfakkan Amphitheater is that it is a unique architectural masterpiece, which has become one of Khorfakkan's main landmarks.
He added that the event aimed to express love and loyalty to this generous country. It included many sessions, including signing the flag mural, poetry, drawing and colouring, and giving souvenirs to the participants.
